CineTrailer is now available on two new set-top boxes produced by german manufacturer VideoWeb: VideoWeb TV and VideoWeb 750 (Satellite and Cable receiver).

Based in Karlsruhe, VideoWeb produces devices that support the latest standards such as HbbTV, CE-HTML, WMV and H.264 making it the ideal platform for interactive content directly to get on the TV.

The agreement with VideoWeb is particularly important to CineTrailer as it strenghtens its position in the german market, a key territory in the company’s strategy, and gives continuity to the development of new platforms and new technologies that represent a major factor in the success of Cinetrailer.

CineTrailer.tv wins UK Second Prize and UK Popular Choice Award at Samsung TV Challenge

We are proud to announce that CineTrailer.tv application for Samsung Smart TV has managed to win two out of eight prizes at Samsung Smart TV Challange in UK.
A panel of expert judges, including Gadget Show presenter Pollyanna Woodward, awarded CineTrailer with UK Second Prize rating it as “an innovative service with an easy to use interface“.

The apps contest also included an online voting segment, which drew more than 8,500 votes over the two-week voting period. CineTrailer.tv managed to win one of the UK Popular Choice Award too.

“The Samsung Smart TV Challenge is a unique way for Samsung to educate consumers about the Smart TV platform and Samsung Apps storefront, while enabling aspiring developers to make their personal mark on Samsung Smart TVs and take home a generous cash prize,” said Mr. Seok-pil Kim, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Europe. “The winning apps in the European contest illustrate the vast potential of the connected TV, and showcase the type of personalization and diversity we intended with our open platform approach.”

These awards represent a further confirmation of the goodness of the project CineTrailer as for quality of the user experience and attention to the interests of the audience; this achievements endorse the great success of the mobile application already available on Android, WindowsPhone7 and Samsung Bada platforms across Europe.
The announcement was made at the Samsung European Forum in Budapest.
